A Pinch with a Punch.

Relying on the unique degree of flexibility that is inherent in Hickory (a popular species of wood for bow making), 4 asymmetrically positioned slots are machined through the thickness of the timber around the frame, the seat and the back. These slots are then pinched with a total of 5 bolts to create all the ergonomic bends required in a chair – Squeeze is stackable.

In response to popular high-energy processes for creating curves in wood such as steam bending or press moulding, Squeeze uses a more sustainable and efficient alternative, making use of the characteristics inherent in wood.
